Top 10 New Features Expected In Windows 8

Top 10 New Features Expected In Windows 8

0

The history of Windows OS dates back to 1981 when Chase Bishop designed the first model but after 2 years in 1983 first version of the Windows was developed named Windows 1.0 but it was not released until 1985. But as the time progressed we saw the upgrade versions of Windows OS and it was in 1995 when Microsoft revolutionized the technology with release of Windows 95 followed by Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Now there are many speculations that Microsoft will release the brand new Windows 8 with many mind blowing features anytime in a year. There are lots of rumors surfacing in the internet but nobody is certain that which feature will make it to the final product. Here I have gathered the information about the 10 new features expected in Windows 8 So let’s check it out:

Windows App Store:

1
Just like the Apple and Android, Microsoft has decided to launch their own App store that will enable the user to review new apps and buy them online. This exciting new feature of Windows will provide a centralized and convenient place to learn about and acquire new applications.

History Vault:

2
History Vault is an extremely new and exciting new feature of Windows 8 that provides an automatic backup of files and documents and allows the user to select previous versions of a file based on the time stamp of that particular file.

Immersive Browser:

3
Immersive Browser is another new feature in Windows 8 and it is based on the mobile browser in windows 7 smartphones. According to many sources Microsoft has develop this browser to get more web on to the screen by reducing many options. Immersive Browser will use Internet Explorer rendering engine that will make the most of the tablet display. Many people suspects that this browser will be locked for a bonus release.

Portable Workspace:4
Portable Workspace will allow the user to create a portable image or you can say a clone or whole backup on any external drive with at least 16GB of available capacity. This new feature will help you to create a clone of your important data in any external device so you can boot it in PC and use the same windows experience.

Tweaked Disk Cleanup:

It looks like that Microsoft has upgraded the Disk Cleanup utility to help user manage the disk space. The enhanced utility showing up in Windows 8 pre-release builds includes options that allow the user to sort files by size and type. This will make it much easier to get the disk space quickly by targeting temporary files and quickly spotting the biggest space on your hard drive.

Windows 8 Ribbon User Interface:

6
This feature can be seen in Microsoft Office 10 which places the menus and icons in the ribbon like toolbar but it was not well received by the user. But in Windows 8 this feature will perhaps be more advanced and have more options like to turn it off and many others.

Pattern Login:

7
All of you have experienced the feature of Pattern Login in Android OS and iPhones and after its success Microsoft have decided to use this feature in their upcoming Operating System Windows 8. This feature will be seen in Windows 8 tablets and phones. Unlike Android OS which has a 9 block grid, Windows 8 will have a 16 block grid for more complex security pattern.

Hybrid Boot:

8
Microsoft has introduced the new method of shutting down and starting up the Windows with the new feature Hybrid Boot. This feature reportedly works more like hibernation than actual shutdown, leaving lots of data cached for ready retrieval when the system is switched on again.

Storage:Cloud 9
Cloud Storage will provide seamless integration for the synchronization and storage of data on cloud-based servers. This will allow users greater flexibility, computing power, and virtual storage space when using Microsoft Windows 8.

Genuine Center:

10
Since the launch of Windows OS, Microsoft had fought a long battle on software piracy. But this time maybe their war is over as Windows 8 will have the most awaited feature called Genuine Center. In this menu, you’ll be able to enter or change your license key and view the status of your license’s genuineness.

Top 10 Best Makeup Tips For Summer

Top 10 Best Makeup Tips For Summer

In the summer time, it becomes essential to take care of yourself even more than the rest of the year. Especially taking care of the skin on a regular basis seems to be a hard work on its own. But these are some of the basic things that one should keep in mind while getting ready in the summer time. Here are ten tips for summer make-up.

1. Keep Protected

1
It is very much important to care for your skin, especially against the sun as it not only saves it from getting dark, but also protects against the harsh ultraviolet rays of the sun that can damage your skin thoroughly. It also helps against aging as you retain the fair complexion as well as your skin does not shrink. It is equally important to protect your skin through using a good moisturizer with an SPF factor of 15 or higher. You should use it regularly as it avoids the sun spots and fine lines that occur due to sun exposure. Even when there is a cloudy day you should not forget to put on a sunscreen. You should allow at least 10 minutes for the moisturizer to absorb before you go out

2. Get a Fresh Look

2
During summer season the warm weather makes everything feel so sticky. Therefore, you might feel that your foundation and powder are a little too heavy on your skin. To avoid feeling this heavy on your face, you should try to go for a fresher and lighter look by switching to a tinted moisturizer. It is simple to apply with a damp sponge and you will get the even look you want for yourself. Just add a little concealer to give you the radiance that you might feel like needing.

3. Skin Tone Should Be Matched

3
When there are summer days, you want to have a glowing look on your face instead of all sweaty. This means that you should go for all those things that will make you look fresh. Not only that but the things that will really make you fresh. You do not have to fake it. You can use bronzing powder to give you that colour of the skin that you naturally are. This will allow you to look fresh instead of all worn down. Just make sure you know which shade to use that matches your skin tone. Once the skin tone is set, then nothing else is to be worried about.

4. Remember to Highlight Eyes4
It is important to accentuate your eyes and bring out the natural beauty in them. Eyes are undoubtedly one of the most beautiful features that one has. In the summer days, it is necessary not to be overdone. So for that you should go for eye shadows that are lighter in colour, or are of neutral shades. Because neutral shade works the best in summers. If you do not want to go the full mile and want to just do a little bit and yet get the complete look, then just simply apply a touch of mascara and a little eye liner. These will do the rest for you in bringing your face to life. For a summery look, you should swap your black mascara for either a blackish brown or simply plain brown. Just remember to get your eyebrows done with a perfect shape, so to have a complete eye look.

5. Have Waterproof Makeup5
Since in the summer days, one is bound to get sweaty. Therefore, waterproof makeup is the only refuge. There is nothing worse than a running mascara to spoil your entire look. For this very reason, nothing more than mascara has to be definitely waterproof. For its removal, an oil-based eye make-up remover is essential to take it off properly. If you want to get a perfect look, then you should get your eyelashes professionally tinted, especially if you are so fair and have light eyebrows, then to make them apparent you have to do this. Same can be the case with the eyebrows too. So that you have the colour complexion as well as the make-up that you apply all matched up properly

6. Lip Care

6
Summer days are not only cruel over your skin, but also the lips. So you are sunbathing, then do not forget apply some lip balm to protect your lips from the heat and the damage of the sunrays. This will also keep them soft and supple. You can also apply lipstick or lip gloss. In fact, lip gloss is something that could just do the trick for you anytime in the summer, when the sun is up and your look will be complete. Just make sure of the matching with the outfit and the time of the day. The rest is done

7. Get the Right Complexion

7
If you are someone who likes to have a tan and enjoys a tanned complexion than you can do more with your make-up to highlight it positively to enhance your looks even further.

8. Highlight Your Cheeks

8
If in case you are not interested in either using tanning or bronzing powder on your skin for some reason, then in that case too there is no problem at all. You can simply use the blush on. Apply it along your cheekbones to give them presence, but do it according to your face. Remember to build up the colour gradually until you have the soft natural glow that you are looking for.

9. Care for Your Toes

foot massage
In the summers, you would want your feet to look at their best. So you should especially take time out to care for them. Keep them free from dry skin and cracked heels. Simply moisturize them regularly to make them appear soft and smooth. You can also polish your toe nails according to the theme of the occasion and the summer time. Just go for something that would simply match and look good on your feet

10. Exfoliate

10
It is important to keep your skin looking healthy and fresh, so exfoliate on a daily basis. Keep a washcloth or a buff pad handy to be used anytime whenever the sun has taken its toll on you. Exfoliation takes the dead cells out of your skin and gives it back the healthy look.

Top 10 New Year’s resolutions for saving money 2011

Top 10 New Year’s resolutions for saving money 2011

money saving

New Year’s resolutions – don’t they seem as though they’re made to be broken?

It’s a discouraging thought, but what if you were able to buck that trend in 2007? To increase your chances for success, here are a whole bunch of money-related resolutions that most of us can’t afford to break.

If you follow through on just one or two of these, you’ll unavoidably improve your bottom line in the New Year.

1. Slash the incidentals. Carefully read through one of your credit-card statements, staying on the lookout for ongoing monthly fees that you may have utterly forgotten about. Cancel any club memberships you don’t use and magazine subscriptions you don’t read. And if necessary, resolve to stop spending hard-earned money on lottery tickets.

2. Pay yourself first. This is a good time for an honest self-analysis: What have your saving habits been like in the past year? If it seems like all the money you make falls straight through your fingers and gets gobbled up by bills and other expenses, think hard about a reasonable amount you could start to view as yet another monthly bill. Could you handle one more $50 bill? How about a $200 bill? Even if you can only handle one more $15 or $20 bill, that’s better than nothing. Start squirreling that money away for yourself, pronto.

3.Decide where to put that ‘payment.’ If you plan to sock money away for several years until you reach a specific savings goal, your “pay-yourself-first” money could become automatic contributions to a mutual fund or other stock-oriented fund. If you need the money to be more liquid than that, consider an online savings or money market account that gets linked to your current checking account. Many of these online-only accounts are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) and pay annual percentage yields between 4 percent and 5 percent or even higher, as opposed to paltry yields of about 0.2 percent to 0.5 percent for traditional savings accounts. To find such an account, go to Bankrate.com , find the “Compare rates” section on the home page, select “Checking & Savings,” and then “MMAs/Savings Accounts.” (Just keep choosing MMAs and savings accounts as you click through.)

4. Pay ahead on your mortgage. By paying an extra $100 a month toward the principal on a $150,000, 30-year mortgage with a fixed interest rate of 6.5 percent, you’ll save more than $51,000 in interest and be able to retire your mortgage nearly seven years early. An extra monthly payment of even $20 or $25 can make a surprising difference. Granted, you’d stand to benefit more if you could invest that extra payment in an interest-bearing account offering a guaranteed higher rate of return than your mortgage rate. And paying off your mortgage early means you won’t have the tax benefits of home ownership for the same number of years. But if you’re after the psychological benefit of owning your home outright and spending far less on interest over time, then the extra-payment approach is the way to go.

5. Shed credit-card debt. Of course, the best way to avoid creating problems for yourself in 2007 is to use your credit cards cautiously and sparingly, always being sure to pay the entire balance off in full and on time each month. But if you’re already in a serious credit-card pickle as 2006 winds to a close – as millions of people are – try this: Transfer your credit-card balances to a card with a lower interest rate ASAP. You’ll save $730 if you transfer a $2,000 balance from an 18-percent card to an 8.25-percent card and then pay off your balance at a rate of $50 a month. Better yet, transfer balances to cards with rates of 0, 1 or 2 percent and concentrate on paying them off entirely while those low rates last.

6. Say goodbye to late fees. If you keep finding yourself getting hit with extra finance charges because your credit-card bill is regularly due before you’ve received your paycheck, call the credit-card company and ask to have your due date changed. It might take a few months for this change to kick in, but it’s well worth the wait.

7. Take your last puff. Depending on the wallop packed by the “sin taxes” where you live, you could save more than $2,000 a year if you go from being a pack-a-day smoker to a non-smoker. You’ll also qualify for significantly cheaper life-insurance rates after you quit.

8. Max out your retirement savings. Contribute as much as you can to a 401(k) or 403(b) tax-deferred retirement plan. You’ll get an automatic tax break, plus your employer may match part of your contribution – often 50 cents for each dollar you contribute for up to 6 percent of your pay. If your employer doesn’t offer this benefit, open a traditional individual retirement account or a Roth IRA and start saving anyway

9. Review your estate plan. Do you have a will or a living trust? If not, get that taken care of this year! If you already have such documents drawn up, make sure they’re up to date. This is especially important if you recently had children or if kids might be in your future – but no matter what, these are vital steps for everyone to take regardless of their marital or family status

10. Analyze your workday expenses. Instead of eating in restaurants every single day, bring your lunch to work from home as often as you can. Take your clothes to the dry cleaners early to avoid paying extra for same-day service. If it’s feasible where you live, try commuting to work by bus or by another form of public transportation. It could save you money and give you added reading and relaxation time.

We had shifted him to ICU as a precaution because we want to keep a constant check on him. Now that he has progressed well, we have shifted him out of the ICU," says the medical staff, adding that he has been hospitalised for similar ailments twice before.

According to sources, a security blanket has been thrown around his cabin and family members have expressed desire to take him abroad when he is fit to travel.

"They (the family members) are enquiring about when he can travel and they want to take him abroad because the media speculation here is constantly growing. But we have told them that nothing can be said before three more days and he definitely cannot travel for at least 14 days. That's what most of the doctors on the board say for now," the medical staff adds.
