1. Big Brother 13

Big Brother is an American TV reality show and Big Brother 13 is its 13th season which leads the list of top ten most googled TV shows in United States, 2011. It was broadcasted for 75 days on CBS and ShowTime 2.  Promoted as the “Summer of Double Trouble”, it ended on 14th September, 2011 with Rachel Reilly as the winner of the season who was awarded with $500,000. It has won every time slot in viewers and is the most successful season of Big Brother since 2004.

2. American Idol 10

Titled American Idol: The Search for a Superstar is a reality small screen singing competition created by Simon Fuller and American Idol 10 was its 10th season. It was aired from January 19 till May 25, 2011 on Fox on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Though this season underwent many changes including the reduction of the judging panel it did not cease its popularity. It was also the first season where audition was opened for 15 years old contestants.

3. Dexter season 6

Dexter season 6 was the 6th season of the US drama serial, Dexter. This season comprised of 12 episodes and was screened from October 2, 2011 on the television cable network, ShowTime. With a set in Miami the series centres on Bloodstain pattern analysis, Dexter Morgan. It was one of the hit shows of 2011 from United State’s entertainment world.

4. X Factor US

$5 million recording contact with Epic Records as the winning prize, X Factor US is an American music contest aired on Fox from 21st September till 22nd December, 2011 in order to find new singing talents. The reality show was created by Simon Cowell and produced by SYCOtv. This will be followed by X Factor US season 2 for which Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are confirmed judges.

5. Beavis and Butthead

Created and designed by Mike Judge, Beavis and Butthead is an animated serial of American origin. It was derived and created by Mike Judge from “Frog Baseball”, a short film by him during 1992. It was broadcasted on MTV from October 27 with a total of 222 episodes. Though it was a source of controversy for showing some dangerous behaviors it has remained as one of the most googled TV shows in United States, 2011.

6. Torchwood

Torchwood is a British Science friction TV program created by Russell T Davies and the 4th season of it was a British-American co production which began on 8th July 2011 in U.S. and on 14th July 2011 in UK. This 2011 season was named Touchwood: Miracle Day and it narrated how population and legislative problems soars up since suddenly no one is dying on earth. It has remained one of the hit serials of 2011.

7. Pretty Little Liars

The American teen drama Pretty Little Liars is based on the famous series of novels with the same name by the author Sara Shepard. The second season of the series started airing on 14th June, 2011 and concluded on 19th March 2012. ABC family renewed the series for the second season in June, 2011 a special Halloween themed episode was announced ending the season with 25 episodes compared to its initial 24 chapters.

8. Celebrity Apprentice 4

The Celebrity Apprentice 4 also famous as the Apprentice11 is the 11th chapter of the US version of the reality tele series, The Apprentice. The season premiered March 6, 2011 with Country singer, John Rich as the winner and Oscar winner Marlee Matlin as the runner up. Celebrity Apprentice 4 had 16 total candidates who were divided into two teams, Males verses Females.

9. All My Children

Aired on ABC for 41 years from January 5, 1970 to September 23, 2011, All My Children is an American television soap opera. The program has remained as the most widely recorded television show and in 2011 it was among the top ten most googled television shows in United States. On July 7, 2011, ABC sold the licensing rights of show to a third-party production company Prospect Park with the show set to continue on the internet as a series of webisodes.

10. Real Housewives

Real Housewives is an US reality series which traces the lives of relatively affluent, bourgeois housewives with the professional women in the suburban or urban cities of America. The 2011 season had women from Miami and Bravo screened it in United States while through various other network cables internationally. The show had included few serious and sensible topics such as suicide, divorce, broken relationships, infidelity, alcoholism etc.
