The opening ceremony of the 2011 World Cup will be held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka on February 17

India and Bangladesh will play the first match of the 2011 World Cup on February 19 in Mirpur. The final of the 2011 Cricket World Cup will be held at the Wankhede Stadium on the second of April, 2011.

14 teams will be participating in the tournament. They have been divided into two groups of seven each.

Group A: Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya

Group B: Bangladesh, England, India, South Africa, West Indies, Ireland, Netherlands
