Tentative cost of courses
You can check the tuition fees in the Tuition Fee Schedule (refer to the official website) which states the fees for each faculty, and are quoted for one unit of credit (UOC). Most courses are six units of credit, so you need to multiply these figures by six to work out the cost of one course. Full-time study at UNSW generally consists of four courses per semester or eight courses per year, so you need to multiply the figures again according to the number of courses you are taking.
Some courses have additional costs, for expenses such as laboratory kits, field trips and equipment. These costs are compulsory and are usually additional to the tuition fees. Textbooks are not a compulsory cost, but you should budget about AUD1000 per year for them.
Scholarships offered
The university provides scholarships specifically for International students and also offers more general scholarships for which International students can apply. There are also scholarships offered to International students that are supported by external organisations. For a full list of undergraduate and postgraduate (coursework) scholarships, information about eligibility and how to apply, visit the university's scholarships web page.
