A minuscule cow, Swallow, has been named the world smallest by Guinness World Records. Guinness says the sheep-sized bovine from the West Yorkshire region of northern England measures roughly 33 inches from hind to foot. All of her 9 calves have outgrown her - the youngest standing next to her on the left.
Guinness World Records says Giant George from Tucson is the tallest dog ever on record. Giant George weighs 250 pounds and stands 3 feet, 7 inches tall from paw to shoulder.
World famous street performer Chayne Hultgren, known as 'The Space Cowboy,' shows off his ability to swallow 18 swords at once -- a Guinness World Record -- in front of the Sydney Opera House on Feb.8. The Australian broke his own world record by swallowing 18 swords, each with a blade measuring 50.8cm by 1.3cm.
Hultgren will surely be celebrating this year's International Sword Swallowing Day on Feb. 28.
Seventeen people -- fully set ablaze -- walk around a field in South Russell, Ohio, as they break the Guinness World Records mark for most people fully engulfed in fire at the same time. The group remained on fire for 43.9 seconds
A towering Turk was officially crowned the world's tallest man Thursday after his Ukrainian rival dropped out of the running by refusing to be measured. Guinness World Records said that 8 foot 1 inch (2.47 meter) Sultan Kosen, 27, from the town of Mardin in eastern Turkey, is now officially the tallest man walking the planet. Although the previous record holder, Ukrainian Leonid Stadnyk, reportedly measured 8 feet 5.5 inches (2.57 meters), Guinness said he was stripped of his title when he declined to let anyone confirm his height.
Stadnyk, 39, told the AP he refused to be independently measured because he was tired of being in the public eye.
