On the eve of Ganesh Puja sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created World's longest sand Ganesh holding a small tree in his hand and giving message about "Plant trees and reduce Global Warming". I took 10 hours and using 17 tones of sand to create this 40 ft long sand Ganesh. As thousands of pilgrims came to this holy place and also to the golden beach, Pattnaik with his students of Golden sand art Institute celebrating this festival at Golden Beach. I will send the details about the sculpture to Limca Book of World records to place it in their book.
Lord Ganesha is also called Vinayak (knowledgeable) or Vighneshwer (god to remove obstacles). He is worshipped, or at least remembered, in the beginning of any auspicious performance for blessings and auspiciousness. So I believed that people will accept this message to save the planet from Global Warming said Pattnaik.
Climate change is measure issue for our state as well as for the globe so; this time I choose this topic again. I have shown that Lord Ganesh giving message to the people of Universe to plant trees to reduce the Global warming through my sculpture, said internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik.
