E-Summit 2011 - finding the hidden entrepreneurs among us

The entrepreneur is our visionary, the creator in each of us. We’re born with that quality and it defines our lives as we respond to what we see, hear, feel, and experience. It is developed, nurtured, and given space to flourish or is squelched, thwarted, without air or stimulation, and dies.

This year the Entrepreneurship Development Cell is back again with the E-Summit 2011 which will be focusing on finding the hidden entrepreneurs among us and giving them the right platform and guidance to achieve their goals. E-Summit will also be emphasizing on the exposure and overall development of the students as they will be getting an opportunity to interact with the few of the best people of our country.

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Delhi Technological University with its flagship event, the Entrepreneurship-Summit 11 aims at bringing together the ‘best entrepreneurial skills of the nation’ pit them against each other and provide a platform to showcase their talents. It brings together the passionate student community and the corporate sector to initiate successful ventures for the future and also ignites the spark of competitiveness amongst students.

“The event gets bigger”. Saying this would be an understatement, considering that Honourable Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. Sheila Dikshit and Father of Pentium Chip Shri Vinod Dham will be inaugurating the event on Feb 16th at 11 AM. Also present on the first day will be Shri Khurshed Batliwala or “Bawa” as he is fondly known.

Mr.  SS Bhowmik (CEO & Founder, Nex-G Exuberant Solutions), Mr. Narendra Bansal (Chairman & Managing Director, Intex Technologies (India) Ltd.)), Srikant Gokhale (CEO – The Mobile Store Ltd.), Mr. Rajiv Vaid (CEO, TCS), Sumit Chaudhuri (Chairman & M.D. of Third Millennium Business Resource Associates Pvt. Ltd), Yogesh Bansal (CEO & Founder, ApnaCircle.com), Kamal Kumar Kaushik (Senior Vice President, Religare Finvest Ltd.), Mr. Vikas Yadav (CEO, iEdvantage), Mr. Nitin Gupta aka Rivaldo (CEO, Entertainment Engineers) and Sanjukta Basu (Founder Samyukta Media) will also be present as eminent speakers and panellists.

This year the E Summit will focus on the theme of “Youth Entrepreneurship”. Events like Business Plan Competition, Panel Discussion, and Leadership Lectures have always pulled huge intellectual crowd from all over India. This year E-Pitching, Innovation Fair and Interactive Session are new additions to the event list! Through Business Plan Competition, we contribute in providing a great opportunity for the ‘Early Stage Enterprises’ to reach out to the entrepreneurs. In Leadership Lectures, prominent speakers have an interactive talk with the students to help them reach the pinnacle of success. With Panel Discussion, our motive is to organise a discussion on the rapid change the Indian economy has undergone in the new millennium. E-Pitching is a team event where teams have to create a futuristic product out of some basic materials given to them and then market the same. Innovation fair will be a grand fair where college teams can display projects before great venture capitalists and enthusiastic student community. Interactive Session will be a bridge between student and alumni and they can get unmatched interaction with their alumni. With participants from all over India, speakers and panellists from all over the world, E-Summit 2011 is a sure attend event this February!
